What is No-go Zone? When should a No-go Zone be used?

This guide aims to help you effectively utilize No-go Zones to manage the operational areas of your robot. No-go Zones are essential for preventing the robot from entering specific areas where it shouldn't operate, ensuring safety and efficiency.
 

When to Add No-go Zones

You should consider using No-go Zones in the following situations:
  • Undefined Boundaries
    No clear boundary between your lawn and the neighbor's lawn.
  • Hazardous Areas
    Areas with steps or cliffs exceeding 3 cm in height, small obstacles, etc.
  • Water Edges
    Proximity to fishponds or swimming pools, especially without a clear boundary between the lawn and water.
  • Low Flowerbeds
    Flowerbeds close to or less than 20 cm high, or areas with economically valuable plants or beloved crops.
  • Tool Storage Areas
    Places where irrigation equipment, electrical wires, or devices are stored.
  • Pet Houses
    Areas where pets are situated.
  • Anywhere You Choose
    Anywhere you don't want the robot to go.
Tip: You can add or remove No-Go Zones at any time during or after the mapping process.
 

Key Steps of Adding No-go Zone or Virtual Fence

1. Click the map-editing icon (If there are ongoing tasks like mapping or mowing, you need to pause the task first.)
2. Design the "No-go Zone" or "Virtual Fence" on the map (Rectangle/Polygon/Ellipse)

Key Steps of Adding Smart No-go Zone

Smart No-go Zones are a feature designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of your TerraMow robot. During its operation, if the robot gets stuck or encounters obstacles, the app will prompt you to add a Smart No-go Zone in that area.
1. Enable "Smart no-go zone suggestion" in Robot settings.
2. Click the Smart No-go Zone suggestion pin when the map prompts a hint.
3. Click "Go to add".
